From: joie Sent: 1/17/2002 5:30 PM Hebrews 7:1-2--- Tom, this verse 2 says that Abraham gave a tenth part of all to Melchisedec.
I think too much arrogrance (Adam's sin = pride-) is in the men Christians today. You are failing to see that Jesus made us all ONE. This means on equal grounds.
Originally, Adam was alone--- he was perfect in all his ways in the day he was created. He was more beautiful than others---he became lifted up in pride---determined to set him self up as God.
God took his rib--- he made a beautiful woman---jealousy set in ---- Adam was no longer-- sooooo -- the most beautiful--- the woman was meek--- recognized her need for God--- Adam, the serpent = (his carnal mind)= was more SUBTIL than any other--- so with his 'enchantments'- he deceived HER---- she listened and obeyed him ---- he blamed her---because she listened to him---- instead of God----
God set her under his dominion---- UNTIL the promised seed should come---- the SEED ---who would set her FREE.
Now, the serpent, subtil, proud, arrogrant, mind of 'men' still want to hold 'HER' under the bondage---- which Jesus set us free from.
We are all ONE in Christ.
Better finally accept the finished WORK of JESUS

From: joie Sent: 1/21/2002 12:46 PM Galatians 3:27---For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
v28--There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, THERE IS NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE: FOR YE are all one in Christ Jesus.
Now, Tom, here is the Scripture with says we are all ONE.
When you say 'look at the man, then the woman,' if you see no difference... don't you realize that this proves you are looking at this purly as 'carnal' and natural?
This is Spiritual. That is why you cannot see the truth: you are looking at the flesh.
It is not speaking of the fact that you are still a 'male' person; and that I am still a 'female' person. Paul said henceforth we know no man AFTER THE FLESH.
Of course, I still have a female body; that is not what is in Christ--- In Christ I am , have put on Christ--- the being ONE does not mean we bacame the very same person--- that is foolishness- being ONE means on equal grounds; it means in unity, it means in total agreement.
This misunderstanding the meaning of the word 'one' is also why the Jesus only people got mixed up and think that God and Jesus are the same being.
Read 1Cor. 3:23--And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
Those apostives show POSSESSION. This means we belong to Christ; and that Christ belongs to God.
So how are they the SAME?
If I have put on Christ, it is not I that speak but Christ. Then you are trying to say that the Christ in me cannot teach what the Holy Ghost teaches me. I would not want to face God with that guilt in my life.

Paul wrote MORE about the churches going back and putting themselves under the law than any other subject. Most of his writtings are about this matter of them going BACK to the law. He explained to them, how they must do things, because of being under the law. Every time he spake about women not teaching, or having to be IN SUBJECTION he took it back to being under the LAW. BY THE LAW, IS NO SALVATION.
If, as most men seem to want to believe, the woman is STILL under the punishment of having to be ruled over by her husband, which was placed on her in the Garden of Eden, then you are saying that Jesus has NOT SET HER FREE=--- YOU ARE SAYING JESUS HAS NOT FORGIVEN HER ANY SIN. YOU ARE SAYING SHE IS DOOMED FOR HELL.
If Jesus forgave her, she is no longer being punished for that sin. If Jesus gave her salvation, she is FREE. She is not to be 'ruled' over; her husband is to deal with her according to the KNOWLEDGE THAT SHE IS FREE; THAT THEY ARE HEIRS TOGETHER of the Grace of life.
They are ONE = EQUALS.
You know nothing about true Christianity.
