not trying to do a full message now; just going to show a few things. this chapter is great and needs to be dealt with, one verse at a time. but I cannot do that much typing now.
isa 2; 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Me: the swords were from the law system...now the apostles plow or preach to save souls. they also prune to make the 'tree' bear better fruit.
the next verse shows the church turning to all kinds of idols. the proud men, preachers, bow to these idols,,,in fact, they themselves, are some of the idols.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.
some enter into the Rock...salvation.....others into the dust, or flesh, rejecting salvation.
next it shows God bringing down all the proud and haughty folks. preachers who lift themselves above others and think others must pay them to ...ugh?
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
again, we see some going to the rocks, or truth and other into caves of the earth, or fleshly things...they are all in fear of what is coming....but as time goes on...
they cast their idols of MONEY to the bats and moles...
Now what is this?
what is the common ground....of bats and moles?
My Daughter Wanna, came up with the right answer to this: neither can see.
Both are blind....moles have no eyes...let them that have eyes, see what the Lord is doing....but\
their paid preachers to whom they cast that gold and silver to, cannot SEE....blind leading the blind.
