One for fun
Every once in a while My little honey, I want to make you smile By just being funny.
When you start seeing double Be sure that you are in trouble. They said you can’t cause you’re not smart But I said yes, yes, for it is in my heart.
We will take a trip to the moon Very very soon. This little butterfly will take us on his wing For he wants to hear me sing.
Now that is a joke For silly folk To think that I could sing Would be to take a wild fling.
This one may not be very good For I just stood And waited for a little bird To come by and give me a word.
I will make you laugh Or cut the apple in half. See, then that is double pie And I do not lie. Some can draw and some can paint. But for me that would make me faint. I just stand and wait At the apple gate
To see what will come sailing by And then I will try To take the jumble tumble And not let it fumble
Till a poem is born And it is not a thorn In my mind that I cannot sing, draw or paint well But the poem gives me wings that I can sail
To the moon and back in record time and that satisfies this mind of mine. So until next time This is all I could find.
