I can
By: Jo Smith ~~~ July 8, 2021
I can and if you can’t ask me and I will tell you how.
But first you must learn to milk a Jersey Cow.
You grab the tit and squeeze hard.
Out comes milk and lard.
I can sprout wings and fly to the highest Mountain top.
But this is not the last stop.
From here I can leap to the Golden Springs.
This is where we can see all things.
If this amazes you, it is only the start of what we can do.
We can now visit every zoo.
I say we only if you learned to get the milk.
From there you must learn to make silk.
Now we are off on another trip.
We will go this time in my airship.
There is a nice cafe on the wingtip.
The power of its food will equip
Us for our next trip.
I can now fly around the universe.
And if you wish I will rehearse
All the many wonderful things that may seem
To be only a wild dream.
In my poem we can do anything we like.
We can go to Pluto on my bike.
Children have enjoyed nursery rhymes for ages.
So Now I attempt to write some more pages
For them and us to enjoy all the fun
And believe me, we have just begun.
I can turn elephants into ants
And then turn sticks into gorgeous plants.
I can tame the wild tiger that you hate
And make him my playmate.
Let your imagination run free
And we can be anywhere you wannabe.
Do not stay on the ground
For the entire world I have found.
Now that I have shown you the way
Rise up and no longer stay
But go and fly away.
Go to the highest peak
and you will find what you seek.
