Schoolmaster, Part Two ~~The biggest deception for those hoping to find eternal life, today, is the false teaching that we, since the birth of Jesus Christ, must still be under the law or have the law as a schoolmaster, to bring us to Christ. They, (the false teachers), can make it all sound so good to the unlearned. By ‘unlearned’ I mean those who do not know the Word of God. Those walking in darkness are easily taken into this snare of Satan.
But if we look at the Word of God, as it is WRITTEN we can easily see that this is total deception and error. So, let’s check the Scripture very closely to find the truth.
Ga 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [Notice here that the Scripture says that the Galatian Christians had been ‘bewitched’. So what is this bewitchment? This entire Book is about the deception of being UNDER LAW. It is clearly AGAINST the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. See that he said , you, before your eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you. So he is referring to someone who is crucifying Jesus afresh and anew, among themselves. How is this done? It is clearly laid out in Hebrews and other Books, that it is by going BACK to law, thus denying the NT Salvation, by the Holy Ghost, and Grace. It is doing despite to the Spirit of Grace].
Ga 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [Here, Paul reasons with them: did you receive the Spirit, (Holy Ghost), by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? When they were under the works of the law, before Christ came, did they receive the Holy Ghost by that law? No. They know they did not receive it from law keeping. It comes only by FAITH, AND THE LAW IS NOT OF FAITH.]
Ga 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? [Here he makes it clear that this attitude of theirs is being foolish. Are ye so foolish? How? By allowing themselves to be bewitched into returning back to the bondage of LAW. He appeals to their sense of understanding… since you made this start with God, in the Spirit, (Holy Ghost; NT; Grace)… how can you now think you need the law to be made perfect, which is by the flesh? This is how they were so foolish, thinking they made this good start in the Spirit, but now needed the flesh, or law, in order to go on unto perfection. Surely, if the Law could not give them this Spirit, then they most certainly did NOT need that law in order to continue on. If it could not give the start, or the Spirit, it could not give the perfecting of their faith.]
Ga 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [Here he again appeals to common sense > >Why are you suffering in vain, if it is in vain? Why go back to law, when you were obviously suffering for Christ’s sake. He later shows that those of the works of law are not persecuted, but they are the ones who persecute those who teach the crucifixion of Christ. He asks them, are we working miracles among you by the works of the Law? Did those under the law ever work these miracles? No. They know it only came by faith and the law is not of faith, so why would they need to return to law?]
Ga 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Ga 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. [Abraham’s FAITH, or believing God, is how he was righteous. He was not under law. He lived by faith. How was this man righteous without law? If it takes law to make one righteous! So all who are of FAITH, (the law is not of faith), are the children of Abraham. We are the Seed of Abraham, not those who serve under law.]
Ga 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Ga 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. [The GOSPEL was preached unto Abraham. Why? Was law preached to Abraham? No. It was the GOSPEL. What was this gospel? In thee shall all nations be blessed. All nations. Now that is what those Jews hated, the bringing in of all nations. They wanted to have exclusive rights to God. They wanted to be his special people. But were they? No. Who was? It is those of faith, who believe and obey the GOSPEL. We are the blessed seed of Abraham. It is to you and your children, and ALL WHO AFAR OFF. It is for everyone. It is for the entire world. We never had that law. That law never brought us to Christ. What did then? It was the preaching of the gospel. Yes, it is the GOSPEL which brings us to Christ. That law did not do it. That law was a bondage, in which they were HELD until God sent his Son to this earth.]
Ga 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. [Now that is a very powerful statement…all who are of the works of the law are under the curse. So you think it takes a curse to bring us to Christ? Why? What was this curse? Where did it begin? Ever wonder? It began back in Eden, with Adam. He is the one who put them under that curse. He is the one who put them under the works of law. That is why and how his help meet was made subject to his rule, thus taking the entire world into bondage and a curse. Yes, this is the curse which was placed upon mankind because of Adam’s sin. He took them away from Grace, to do the works of the law. He brought up the animal sacrifices, not God. If you doubt this, study Isaiah one. If being under the law is a curse, then this is the same curse which was placed on them in Eden. How many ‘cruses‘ do you think there are?]
Ga 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. [If no man is justified by the law, why in this world has most of the church world returned to the bondage of Law? Why? Go back the beginning of this chapter. There is the answer. Someone BEWITCHED THEM. So being under the works of that law is witchcraft. God said burning incense is worshipping an idol. So it is witchcraft.]
Ga 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. [Without FAITH, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. So it is impossible to please God by the works of that law].
Ga 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [The bewitchers claim that Jesus only redeemed us from a curse, not the law. But go back and read all of this again. He said, if you are under the law, you are under a curse. So being under the law IS the curse. So then, Jesus would have had to deliver us from the law, in order to deliver us from the curse, for the law is the curse. Being under the works of the law is the curse. Do we need a curse to bring us to Christ? Not I. So then, what does bring us to Christ? It is the PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL!]
Ga 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. [Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law, so the blessing of Abraham could come on the Gentiles through Him, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit, through faith. This began on the Day of Pentecost. This is exactly why so many fight this glorious Pentecostal experience. They hate this grace. They hate having faith without the works of the law, which is fleshly. They want to glory in their flesh. They glory in their works.]
Ga 3:15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. Ga 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [If one would not add to a man’s covenant, what makes you think that they can add to God’s covenant? Why do they feel free to add that we must return to law? Is that the covenant of God? Is it the one He is speaking of here? Watch and see. He said this promise was not made to all those ‘natural’ seed or children of Abraham, but to one seed, which is Christ. Abraham had eight natural sons, but the promise was only to Isaac. It was Christ.]
Ga 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. [Now this verse proves that the covenant which was confirmed before of God, in Christ, was NOT THAT LAW. The law came four hundred and thirty years later! So this proves that this covenant we are speaking of is the same covenant given to Abraham by FAITH. It is Grace, not Law, for the law is not of faith. So the children are those of Grace, not those who follow law.]
Ga 3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. [How could anyone read this verse and still claim or think that the inheritance could come by law? It is by promise, which is the same promise which Peter spoke of in Acts 2:38.]
Ga 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. [Now we get to the real truth about what that law was all about. It was ADDED because of TRANSGRESSIONS…….for how long? UNTIL THE SEED SHOULD COME to whom the promise was made. Who or what SEED is this? It is Christ. So after Christ is come, we have no more need for law or any schoolmaster. Then if you go back to law or a schoolmaster, you are denying Christ.]
Ga 3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Ga 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Ga 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. [Here it plainly tells us that no law could give us live. By that law, all were concluded to be under sin. The promise of righteousness came by FAITH of Jesus Christ. It did not come by law or any schoolmaster.]
Ga 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. [Now this verse is of utmost importance in understanding the TRUTH of this. BEFORE FAITH CAME, we, (who? Those back in the OT days), were kept under the law, SHUT UP unto the faith which should AFTERWARDS be revealed. BEFORE faith came, through the birth of Jesus Christ, they were kept under the bondage of the curse, the law.]
Ga 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. [ This is not speaking about Christians. It is speaking to those who lived before Christ came.]
Ga 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. [He is speaking about humanity; not Christians. After faith came, through Jesus, humanity is no longer under any schoolmaster. He is not saying that Christians were once under the schoolmaster, then are no longer under it. He is saying those of the OT were under it, but they are now set free from it. Humanity was set free from that bondage of a schoolmaster; law. It is witchcraft to teach that we must still be brought to Christ by a schoolmaster, the law.]
Ga 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Ga 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Ga 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Ga 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. [If you have been baptized into Christ, and come to faith, you are not under any law or schoolmaster. We who were born in Grace were NEVER under any schoolmaster. It took the preaching of the GOSPEL to bring US to Christ. Those under that law, in the OT, never heard the preaching of the Gospel. Abraham lived 430 years before that law was given. So it is NOT the covenant which was confirmed in Christ BEFORE the law given to Moses. So how in this world can so many people be bewitched into thinking that they are still under that curse, the law of Moses? How can you think that you still need to keep certain days, months, and times, when this Book of Galatians clearly condemns it? If we belong to Christ, we are Abraham‘s seed, which had the gospel preached to him, and was righteous WITHOUT the works of the law. He had this righteousness of faith without works, 430 years before that bondage of law was given, so that law could not possibly be the covenant of faith.]
So, can you claim that the OT Law people also had the gospel? Here is proof that they did not, for it began with Jesus Christ: Mr 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
What caused us to believe? Ac 15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
So it took the preaching of the gospel, not some schoolmaster. Those Gentiles never had any schoolmaster bringing them to Christ. They came to Christ by the preaching of the gospel by the mouth of Peter. It did not come through Moses.
Can the ‘gospel’ be pertaining to law? Ac 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
No. It is of Grace. It is of Jesus: Ro 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; [..the gospel of his Son, not of law.]
The power of God is in the preaching of the Gospel, not by the works of the law: Ro 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Ro 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
So don’t let any bewitchers bewitch you into believing that the Jews still need a schoolmaster to bring them to Christ, nor that any Gentiles need that law. The gospel is the power of God to both for salvation.
How were we begotten to Christ? By some schoolmaster? 1co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
So we find that we are begotten or brought to Christ by the preaching of the gospel, not by some schoolmaster. If you claim a schoolmaster got you to Christ, you are lying and calling this word of God a lie, and denying the truth of the gospel. It is the power of God, not some schoolmaster.
Were any called to Jesus and salvation via any schoolmaster? How did we get to Christ? 2th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 2th 2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [So we find that God called us from the beginning and chose us to salvation by the GOSPEL, not some schoolmaster. Christians are not called by some schoolmaster. We were chosen and called by the GOSPEL.
More proof: 2ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Now that makes it very clear that God saved us, called us, not by WORKS, which is the flesh, law, but by his GRACE. This came through the light of the GOSPEL, not by any schoolmaster. There is just no scripture declaring that since Jesus came, we need some schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. It is lies of the BEWITCHERS.
Now the Apostles to the Jews or the circumcision, really gets bold and declares that even those who died before had to hear the gospel: 1pe 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. [So then we see that their having a schoolmaster did NOT give them life].
And we find that this gospel is so necessary and important, that an angel was sent to take it to the whole world: Re 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
[So then every nation and tongue and people must hear and receive the GOSPEL. A schoolmaster simply will not do the job. Only when humanity was children, or under that bondage of law, did they have a schoolmaster, and this kept them as servants and never set them free. They were shut up under this bondage, UNTIL the Seed came, which is Christ. So you deny that Christ is come, when you say we still need a schoolmaster. You do deny the gospel, the grace and the very purpose for which the Son of God was manifested. You also deny the working of the Holy Ghost.
Only because the Holy Ghost was not yet given, before Jesus came, were they ever under any schoolmaster: John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
So for you to claim that we still need a schoolmaster, is flat denying that the Holy Ghost has now been given.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[Now that plainly declares that it is the HOLY GHOST which will teach us all things. So if you declare that we still need the law to teach us, you are flat denying this comforter which is given by the Father, the Holy Ghost. You who hold to law are the ones who hate this Holy Ghost.
Heb 9:6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. Heb 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
[This work of the old priests was showing that the way into the holiest of all was not YET made manifest, while the FIRST TABERNACLE WAS YET STANDING. So the schoolmaster is part of this first tabernacle. If you still go by that schoolmaster, you have not yet found the way into the holiest of all. You do deny it.]
Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
[Those things which was done under that old law or schoolmaster were carnal ordinances imposed on them UNTIL the time of REFORMATION. So for you to hold to that, you still have NOT come to the reformation, or Christ. You are still under those carnal ordinances. It is all part of that first tabernacle, the law.]
Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Those dead works is the works of that law). Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Now that clearly shows that to come to Christ, you must not be under that first tabernacle or law, which is with the blood of animals and cannot make you perfect or save you from your dead works. If you hold to that schoolmaster, you do deny this offering of Jesus Christ and his holy blood, for that schoolmaster is totally part of the first tabernacle. It is bewitching to teach people against this true covenant of the blood of Jesus, and say they still need that old schoolmaster to bring them to Christ. Nothing of that sort is taught in Scripture. You cannot rightly divide Scripture when you try to hold that schoolmaster to the New Covenant or to get them to Christ. It was never part of the new covenant. It is certainly part of that old law covenant of the blood of animals.
I will finish this message with this verse: John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[So we see that it is the Father who draws us to Christ, not some schoolmaster. So I conclude with a strong admonition to all of you: beware of those who bewitch you drawing you away from Christ, Grace, back to law, bondage and claiming that you still need that old schoolmaster to bring you to Christ.
Run, flee. Resist the devil and HE will flee FROM YOU. Resist this lie with the truth which is given to you in these Scriptures. I have given you full proof here, that it is a teaching of the devil and deceivers who are seeking to bewitch you. It is bewitchment to say we still need that old schoolmaster, after Jesus came and preached the glorious gospel of salvation to us.

So, can you claim that the OT Law people also had the gospel? Here is proof that they did not, for it began with Jesus Christ: Mr 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
