Luke 4:4-------Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
John 6:27---Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
v33---For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Here we see that ‘meat’ and ‘bread’ in the word are synomous. Jesus said he gives life unto the world. So, that is showing some ‘life’ other than the life we are born with. For we already have that.
V35-And Jesus said I am the bread of life
v50--This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. This makes it look like he means his death; but it means he gave us his words. His words give us eternal life. His death paid the debt for our sins.
V63--It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirits and they are life.
Study this chapter carefully. It is wonderful.
To the unlearned, it looks like doubletalk, because it is spiritual. First, Jesus said the bread is my flesh you have to eat to live eternally. They get a picture of having to take a bite off his arm etc. Many left him over this, because they did not understand spiritual talk.
Then he says the flesh profiteth nothing. Now it looks like he reversed what he had just said, that his flesh gave them eternal life. And that is nothing? Woe, here. What is he saying??? Well, let’s look at it.
It is the spirit that quickeneth the words the words that I speak are spirit and they are life.
So there, we have it. The WORDS he spoke ----that is spirit-------that is life-------the Word was made flesh---- now it begins to come together... The Word is flesh, but not the body of clay he stood there in. See it??? I hope so. May God help all who read this to receive this great revelation.
v53----Except ye EAT the FLESH of the Son of man, and DRINK his blood, ye have no life in you.
Take a bite of his arm?? Take a sip of his blood, out of his are? No Noo No!!!
That is what the carnal mind thinks. But he said the WORDS I speak , that is what I am telling you to eat and drink. How do we eat that??? By studying and receiving the engrafted Word. The truth of it.
So this proves it is not talking of the fleshly body of Jesus. When it says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, it is talking about the same kind of flesh Jesus said here we were to eat and drink. See it does not mean the man that he was, but the Words, the Spirit in him. The Word became flesh=(words we can take into our souls and live=eternal life---not temperal life) We are still to eat the same flesh today that they ate back then. Do we have the man Jesus here, now to take a bite of, if it means his literal body. But see, he made it plain that he spoke of the message he brought to earth. The word of God.
I know most people (including me) do not like long posts. But it is impossible to teach something like this in a short space. Please bear with it. It is worth it.
For this is one of the most misunderstood passages in the Book. And the most important one. For unless you get this right all you understanding will be messed up from now on.
The Words I speak are spirit and they are life. Unless ye eat my flesh, you have no life in you. The word was made flesh. But not carnal flesh. Not flesh that could die. This flesh (spirit---word) was eternal life. Can never die. Praise our glorious God and His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Jesus said pray, “give us this day our daily BREAD.. Now, what was he talking about??? Is he saying to pray for food for our bellies? No. He is speaking of the Words = revelation of God’s Word.
So, we are to receive something fresh out of God’s Word each day. To grow thereby. Grow in grace and KNOWLEDGE of the Word. Without it, there is no growth.
But, back to our original thought. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out the mouth of God. Is he saying as most people think that we are not to live only by our daily food we eat at our table? No, he is saying we will not have eternal merely by the daily portion of Word we receive.. We must finally get to every word. Understand the whole truth.
11Thes.2:10-12----because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; That they all might be d**ned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
He that endureth unto the end shall be saved. Receive Word each day till you understand and believe all the truth or else be d**ned. He that putteth his hand to the plough and looketh back is not fit for the kingdom of God.
I hear so many people who think it does not matter if they see it right or not, ------folks, do not be deceived by this misconcept. unless you believe the TRUTH you will BELIEVE A lie and be d**ned. So it is clear that believing it wrong =(a lie) will d**n you. Please, don’t take getting the truth lightly. Your soul depends on it.
That is what Jesus meant “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
When he said the Word became flesh and dwelt among, it is not talking about the man Christ Jesus; it is saying Mary conceived in her womb, by the Holy Ghost a human person, Jesus made of a woman, made under the law, made of the seed of David, made in all points like unto his brethern, tempted in all points like unto his brethern, but, the Word that was flesh was the words that was spirit the message inside him. That fleshly man was not that word . The word inside him was. Jesus , the man, had a mind of his own the was subject to sin and be disobedient just as Adam. Just as we do. He could have sinned, he could have disobeyed, he could have failed, but he did not. If he had the word of God would have gone back to God, and our creation would have been lost eternally. But, that kinsman redeemer is still a man, a glorified Son in Heaven. He ever lives to make intercession to God for us.
