~~ The Two-Edged Sword ~~
Early this morning, Nov. 8, 2003, I rose up very early and read my last message, Two Nations in one. I lay back down to try to go back to sleep, but my mind kept thinking of that message. In just a few minutes God had shown me this message, The Two-Edged Sword.
I praise my God today for having mercy [grace] on me and revealing His Glorious Word to me. I had just finished praying for God to feed me His Bread from Heaven, and almost immediately He began to reveal this to me.
In my message, Two Nations in One, I stated that the fact of God having written on both the backside and the front side of those two tables of stone showed the two covenants. And that is true. But at that time I thought the law was written on the backside and the front side. I thought this was very peculiar, since there are only Ten Commandments written on those stones. Actually I don’t think I had ever realized until doing that message that the stones were written on both sides. So this was new to me.
Moses threw down those original stones, which God himself had hewed out and written upon, and broke them. I said this showed God breaking that first old covenant of law. And this is true. But what I did not realize then was truly what that other set of stones represent. I had also missed at that time what was written on the backside of those stones.
So the revelation of what was written on the backside of those stones is what gave me this message of the two edged sword.
Now let’s look first at where this is all coming from. Adam was the first Son of God. He was created as a perfect, beautiful being. He is described in his original perfection there in Ezekiel 28. Yes that glorious cherub was Adam before he fell. He went from that perfect, immortal state to being a mortal, fallen man in a body of dust. Thus he was a stone written on both sides. He had immortality on the front or first side. He had mortality or death on the back or second side.
This is reversed with the second son, Jesus. He was first mortal, in a body of dust; death. After he was ‘broken’ there at Calvary, then he came forth in another form, immortal. On his front side was mortality or death, which is under the law covenant. But on his back side, or second side was immortality or eternal life. So the first Son Adam started out as perfect and immortal. He then went into mortality or death. The Second Son, Jesus started out as mortal, or death, under law. But then He was changed into immortal, grace, eternal life.
The process was reversed with these two sons, which were these two covenants. Abraham had two sons. Ishmael, the first son was by a bondmaid. He represented the law, mortality, death, and darkness. The other son was by a freewoman, Sarah. This was Isaac. He represented the grace covenant, eternal life, freedom. Both these sons came from the same man. Thus they represent the changing from the first covenant to the second covenant. It is the changing from law to grace. Law is the bondage as Peter confirmed in Acts 15. Grace is freedom. Bondage, law brings death. Freedom, grace brings life. This is why Sarah the Mother of the free son, is also called our Mother, the rock from whence we were hewn. Isaiah 51:1. Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
2. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
This Scripture is speaking to the Christians, the free people.
In Adam was both mortal and immortal. He was at first immortal; then after he sinned he was changed into mortal. He passed from life into death. He passed from grace into law. He chose to eat of law and thus he fell away from grace or life. Under law is no forgiveness of sins. Only the blood of animals covers it. Adam killed a pig and ate it, symbolizing the changing from grace to law; from life to death. So inside this same person was both death and life. Written on the backside and the front side.
God had hewn out that first set of stones. This was the creation of the perfect Son Adam. This set of stones was written on both the backside and the front side. Now the thing God revealed to me this morning is what was written on the backside of those stones. It was GRACE. Yes, It was the grace message.
Remember I showed by Scripture in that other message how God proclaimed to Moses up on the mount, the name of Jesus and the grace message. Then God told to Moses the law.
So this is what God wrote on both sides of those stones. On the front or first side was written the law. God told Moses no man can see my face or front side and live. This was law. Jesus came here first under the death sentence of law. He was made first in a mortal body, made under the law. This is that front or first side. No man can look to that and live, for law, mortality is death.
On the backside of those stones was written Grace. Yes that is the true revelation. Grace and the name of Jesus were written on that backside of those stones. This is life or immortality. This is freedom. They came by the same man. Adam had both immortality then mortality. Jesus had both mortality and then immortality. So both Adams were written on both sides, the front and back side.
See that God proclaimed both messages up there on that mount to Moses. So what he proclaimed to Moses is what He wrote on those stones. He wrote law on the front or first side of those stones. No man can look to that side of the stones and live. For under the law is only death. God cannot forgive you sins under law, so it brings eternal death.
Now when Moses came down off the mount and saw the Israelites naked and dancing around their idol of a golden calf, he threw down the stones and broke them. He knew that under law this group of people would be destroyed right there. So by breaking those stones, he showed that the first covenant of law would be broken so we could have another chance at eternal life by the second covenant of grace. Both covenants HAD to be written on those stones.
The first man Adam started out with immortality. But he willfully sinned and lost that glory and became mortal, doomed to destruction. He was thus that first set of stones. They were broken and therefore destroyed so the second covenant of grace, life, could be brought in and live eternally. This pattern is reversed with the Second Adam, Jesus. He started out with mortality, law, and then was broken at Calvary and came forth into the second covenant of grace, eternal life. He ever lives to make intercession to God for us. So the breaking of those first tablets was the breaking of that law so we could come into grace. It was the crucifixion of Jesus. He went into death, hell, and the grave but came out into glorious, eternal life.
That law or mortality was done away with forever. So the first man Adam must die forever. We must mortify or kill the deeds of the outer man, the first Adam so the inner man, the Christ can live in us. Thus we are written on both sides. We have the outer, old man, First Adam sin nature on the outside. We must have the new man, the Christ, grace inside us. Thus we are written on the front side and the backside.
We all go through a first stage of law. It is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. But after we come to Christ, we are no longer under the schoolmaster. Those who never leave law, sin, and come into Christ, grace, Holy Ghost and freedom from sin will never have eternal life. They stay on the front side or law side of those stones. Therefore they will be broken and destroyed.
We all go through living first after the first Adam or the outer man. But after we receive the Holy Ghost, Christ, Grace, we then live after the second Adam or the inner, new man. This man is sinless. He is perfect. Thus the pattern is again reversed. What happened to Adam in the garden is now reversed. It was reversed in Jesus at His resurrection. He came out of that grave into eternal life, grace, the new Adam.
He was the Stone cut out of the mountain [human beings]. This stone was written on both sides. First, the front side had the law written on him. He was made under that law; he was mortal first. But then when He came out of that grave he was written on the inside or the second covenant, eternal life. This stone was written on the front side and the backside. Law and grace. Mortality and immortality.
Every true Christian has right now both covenants written on us. On the outside or front side are written law, death, and carnality. But Paul taught us we must DIE to that outer nature and live after the inner Christ. Thus we are delivered from that law; delivered from death. We pass from death to life. Adam passed from life to death. But Jesus reversed that for us. He passed into eternal life and ever lives to make intercession to God for us. So when we come into grace, the Holy Ghost, his intercession for us brings us into life or the second covenant of grace. Then we have both covenants written on us. Law is written on our front side and grace is written on our back side. If we sin and go back to law, we fall, as Adam did, from grace, life, back to law and death. So we then break the second covenant and will be doomed eternally to hell and death.
At the time of our resurrection the reversal process will be completed in us as it was in Jesus. We will drop this outer shell of carnality and receive the glorified body without any carnality in it. Thus law, death will be cast away from us forever. But to those who cling to law, sin, carnality, they will be resurrected to shame and everlasting contempt and be cast into the lake of fire. The two covenants will be separated forever at that time. No longer will the two grow together. No longer will there be two nations within one. No longer will there be law and grace together.
Remember that I taught at one time that inside the Word of God are the law and the grace message from Genesis though Revelation. It all depends on HOW you hear it. If you are in law, you will see law all through the Word. If you are in grace, you will see grace all through the Word. See that God told both messages to Moses up on that mount? That is His Word. He has both law and grace. He has both wrath and mercy. He has both death and life.
When people worship idols they stir up God’s wrath or his anger. He will then throw them down and break them. That is law. That is wrath. That is his hot anger. Now God does not wish to do this to anyone. He offers grace, life to all. But if you refuse and worship idols, you are choosing sin, law and death.
The Word of God is the two-edged Sword. It has both covenants written in it. It has law on the front side, or the first thing you come to understand. That is our schoolmaster. We are not meant to stay there. We are meant to grow up and come into light, truth, Christ, grace. But if one rebels and refuses to come into Christ, grace, they will be thrown down and broken.
Daniel 2: 34. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
This stone cut out of the mountain of humanity was Jesus. He will break all the kingdoms of man and destroy them. Then His mountain or kingdom will fill the whole earth. Then law will be done away with forever. That stone will be broken forever.
The ‘image’ which is being broken here is the kingdom of Satan or Adam. This is the image of sinful man which Adam was placed into after he sinned. He was placed into this dust, mortal body. This is the image which is being destroyed. Sin, law, will be destroyed from the new Kingdom of Jesus. As Jesus dies on that cross, he was breaking all those kingdoms from Adam down to the beginning of the New Kingdom, Grace. Jesus destroyed his own human, dust frame of the image of sinful man right there on that cross. He died and took all of that into hell and did away with it.
He came out of that grave in the image of God. He was that first man created in the image of God. He started his kingdom of grace at his resurrection. This kingdom has filled the whole world through the preaching of the gospel. It will continue to take over the kingdoms of this world until at last it will consume all those other kingdoms off the world completely. Then they will be ground to powder and carried away with the wind. This is what happened to the image of humanity inside Jesus. It was broken there are Calvary and carried away. It will never be again. This is the ultimate destruction of Babylon.
Matt. 21:42. Jesus saith unto them, did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
43. Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
45. And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
46. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
Those Pharisees understood that Jesus spoke of them because they knew they were clinging to that law. They had already made their decision to reject Jesus and his teachings. They were the ones the kingdom was taken away from and given to another nation [grace] which would bear the true fruit unto God. This fruit is people loving and serving God through just faith, grace, love. This was the thing God wanted all the time.
Now here again Jesus is referred to as that Stone cut out of the mountain. Those law Jews refused him but he went on to become the head of the corner. This corner turned from law to grace and became a new nation filling the whole earth.
He said if you fall on this stone it will break you. See we must be broken so that first covenant of law, carnality, can be taken off us. We must be written upon the second time. We must come and let God write Grace onto us. We must let his pen, the speaking in tongues, which is given at the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, write his new covenant upon us. This will put the writing of God on both sides of our being. We will now have law, the carnal outer man written on our front or first side. We must be broken and die away from that side. Then we will have the second covenant of grace, love, mercy, and life, written on our inside or backside. Jesus said My tongue [speaking in tongues] is the PEN of a ready WRITER. He is using his ‘tongue’ to ‘write’ grace on our backside, or our inner man.
If you refuse the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and let God write grace onto your inner side, you will come forth at the judgment with only the mark of the beast on you. This mark is this outer man or law. It is contrary to God. It is not subject to God’s true laws by which we may live. This is the law of life in Christ Jesus. If we receive this into ourselves, then we will have the mark of God upon our foreheads.
We will then read or hear Grace in the word of God. We will read the inside of it. We will see the backside or the second covenant. Then we can live. We cannot see his face, or front side, law and live. Moses saw the backside, grace. Moses was placed into Jesus or the second covenant. Moses had the glory of God. When He came down from the mountain the SECOND time, His face was glowing so much, the Israelites were afraid of him and COULD NOT LOOK AT HIM. They were carnal, sinful, under idols and law, so they could not see the glory. They could not see or look to the second covenant, the end of the law.
Now when Moses went up the mountain the second time this represents Jesus going up to God. Moses had to hew out the second set of stones. This was showing mankind descended from mankind. Jesus was born into humanity. He was this second set of stones. God again wrote on both sides of the stones. He wrote both law and grace into Jesus. Jesus taught the people both law and grace just as Moses did. At death Jesus dropped that law side and gave up mortality. He came forth with the glory of God, the ‘glowing face’ of Moses. They could not look upon that. They could not understand it. They could not look to the end of that which was abolished. They could not see grace.
So Moses put a veil over his face so they could not see his face or the glory of grace. When they looked at Moses, they saw only the covering, or flesh, or the veil. But inside that, to Moses was the light, the glory, grace, truth. See the outer covering of human flesh which God put upon Adam at the time he ‘clothed’ them, is this darkness and death. It sees law. But that glory inside is the LIGHT, life, grace.
Those of us who look beyond the veil, or the human flesh, and look into Grace go beyond the veil into the inner sanctuary, or the Holy Ghost. We thus see life, grace, the second covenant, which was not broken.
Revelation 5:1. And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3. And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.
7. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Now read this. It shows that after Jesus was slain he had the power to open this book of redemption and give us salvation. This book of redemption was written on both the backside and inside. See the same as on those stones. Law was written on the outside and grace or life was written on the inside. That law written on the outside had that book of redemption LOCKED up and none could go into life. Now unless someone could live that law faithfully and fulfill it so it could be unlocked or done away with, or broken, then no one could ever have redemption or be able to come back to God and have eternal life again.
Adam had forfeited his right to this book of redemption there in the Garden. Only one who never sinned or broke the law could ever fulfill it and break it off us. This person was the sinless Jesus. He was the only one worthy by his sinless life to open that Book by breaking off those seven seals which that law had the Book locked up with.
So the Book of God had both sides written on. It had law written on the outside or front side or the first covenant. It had grace written on the inside or second covenant. You must break off that first law covenant in order to get into the inside and read or hear grace. You must have grace written on your inside or your soul.
So when Moses went back up the mountain the second time with tables he had hewn out, God again wrote both covenants onto those stones. He wrote law on the outside and grace on the inside. This time those tables were not broken. It shows that Jesus would only have to die one time in order to purchase eternal redemption for us. He offered himself up one time to God and that time is sufficient for all time. He will never have to offer this offering up to God again. He died once to bear our sins in his own body and carry them into hell. He did away with that law covenant right there. It was not meant to be picked back up again. But they healed that destroyed head of law. It was killed with the sword.
Now that sword has two edges. One side has law or death on it. The other side has grace or life on it. This sword is the Word of God. It is written on both the outside [first covenant] and on the inside [grace]. If you choose law, that sword will come and cut you in sunder and you will be destroyed forever. If you choose grace, that sword will come and cut off from you all things which offend God and will purify you so you may have eternal life. It will cut and prune off any dead branches off your tree so you can bear abundant fruit to eternal life.
Grace is that stone upon which you must fall and let it break you of your old self; or that stone will fall upon you and grind you to powder. That is why Moses and Elijah both ground those idols to powder, strewed them upon the water and made them drink it. They who have served idols and law will drink of the cup of God’s wrath as he gives you the fruit of your doings. Your true idol is your own self as you let your own mind lead you and guide you into rejecting Jesus and His Grace. As you choose law instead of Grace, you are setting your self up as your own god. So the Stone of grace will fall upon you and grind you to powder and the wind of the wrath of the Lamb will blow you away forever.
So the two-edged Sword is the Word of God, written on one side with law, with which to destroy the sinner; and written on the inside with Grace with which to give you eternal life. Which will you choose? Choose you this day life or choose death. If you choose the first covenant, law, you are choosing death. But if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body and choose grace you shall live. The very same words, the Word of God, will either destroy you or it will give you eternal life. It all depends upon HOW you hear. If you hear or choose law, this will destroy you. The law demands death. Only in Grace is life found. If you read or hear or accept grace, then the Word will give you eternal life in Glory.
When Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground, he wrote two different times. I now know that this is why. The first time he wrote the law, the Ten Commandments. By this law they could stone the woman to death. But then he stooped down and wrote a second time. This time he wrote the grace message = forgiveness. This time all her accusers had to turn and walk away. Under grace they could not stone her to death. Her sins were forgiven.
When those two tablets or stones are held in your hands and read, you can only see or read one side of them. You cannot read both sides. They must be turned over in order to read what is written on the backside. So this is turning from law to grace; turning from sin to righteousness. It is turning from first man Adam [self] to second man Adam [spirit]. It is turning from Satan to Jesus. Which will you choose?
If you choose grace, you then must obey the laws or commandments of the NT. Those of the OT will not save you or do now. You must come into grace, obey NT salvation of being washed, = baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and be baptized into the body of Christ by the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
When the mighty angel in Rev. 10 came down, he had this little book of redemption OPEN in his hand. This shows that law had been done away with. This open book showed that the locks or seals of law had been taken away. This is NT salvation. He swore time would be no longer. So it is at the end after law has been done away with.

9. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
