Revelation 18
Unless you have studied and come to understand Lamentations, and of course the fall of the old testament is actually recorded all over scripture, You will not see the truth of Revelation 18. For that matter, all the rest of scripture will also be obscured to you also.
Most every scripture from Genesis through Revelation is dealing with the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The truth about Adam and Eve are also throughout Scripture. So until you come to know this, you will miss the entire truth of God.
The fall of the Old Testament is of the utmost importance in the things of God and scripture. You may not know what I am speaking about in the fall of the OT. Read 11 Cor 3 and you will see that God abolished the old testament. Jesus nailed that old law to his cross and took it out of the way. That system was never of God. He hated it and his Word proves this. Isa one, and Isa 66, along with many, many other verses solidly prove that this system was an abomination to God.
The two trees in the garden of Eden was those two covenants; law and grace. Until you come to know the difference in these two methods of life and serving God, you cannot understand scripture.
God tells us that the law is death, hence the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But Jesus took that death-tree out of the way, and gave us grace, or life. The church system immediately brought that law right back up. It was the healing of that deadly wound that the law received at calvary.
So now I will show you that Revelation 18 is actually the fall of that old testament, or the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
I have written many messages, proving that old Jerusalem or that old law system, is the same as mystery Babylon. They are one and the same. Read Mat 23 with Rev 18, and you can see that Jesus identified old Jerusalem as this guilty Babylon, guilty of all the blood shed on earth.
Unless you can see this, you are not going to understand this or any other truthful message. Men have added their own thoughts so much, and mangled the Word of God, till the truth has been totally hidden and blinds people.
Old Jerusalem is that old harlot mother. Everyone thinks Rome is this mother. But Jesus showed us that it is Jerusalem. He said she is guilty of the shed blood of ABEL. So take it from there.
Revelation 18King James Version (KJV)
18 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Babylon fell from Grace back to law. It all began with Adam when he said, I am God. I sit in the SEAT or place of power, of God. He then deceived Eve into picking up LAW. This is the death tree. Thus Babylon fell right there. Law is BONDAGE. Acts 15. Under this bondage, Adam took Eve and others under his control and brought them into death. He RULED OVER THEM. This is the system that God hates from the beginning to the end.
Abel refused to come under this law system, so Adam had Cain to kill Abel. It started this killing in the name of religion and has not stopped yet. Adam is still the king over Babylon; still ruling this world, hence wars and death.
But notice that Babylon fell TWICE. The second fall was when Jesus nailed this system to his cross and took it out of the way. Since the beginning of Adam’s Babylon, that law system has been a CAGE. The spirits trapped in it are evil and devils. When people fail to obey God, they also get trapped in this cage = church.
As long as you MUST attend a certain church, you MUST support it and its preacher or priest, you are under bondage, or in a cage and cannot escape.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
All nations.
This means from the beginning with Adam, down to the last earthly nation that will be, have all been deceived by this wicked Adam.
He seems to be so right, with the riches they get from this system; building big fancy temples, paying a man a big salary to preach, and no end to the expense of such a system.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
The voice of God called to his people to come out of this wicked system of law/church. Do not partake of her sins. Her sins are many, but primarily idol worship = holidays and such. IF you partake of her sins, you will also receive of her plagues. Is it worth it to you?
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Isa 47 also records this claim; I sit a queen…this is Adam’s kingdom still thinking he will always be the anointed cherub, ruling this world. He thinks God cannot take him down.
He destroyed Eve and Abel, and all who refused to worship him, before the flood. Then he again began killing and destroying God’s people, after the flood. His spirit is still ruling this world. He still persecutes those who love God and refuse to worship Adam.
After this, he added to his sins, the murder of the son of God, Jesus Christ. So when his punishment comes again, it will be the double.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
The day, the hour that her plagues came, with her death, mourning and famine, was the hour or day they crucified Jesus on that cross. Babylon fell right there, as the sins of the world were placed on Jesus and he took their place. He nailed that old law to his cross, and the veil in the temple, where they did the law system stuff, that God hated, (Isa one)… that veil was rent into, from the top to the bottom, signifying that the old system would no longer be used to get with God.
God judged that old nation of Israel/Jerusalem, the law system, right there. Their death had come. God would no longer deal with this death way; this sinful nation or any of its pagan practices. He was finished with this forever.
Read Lamentations to see the destruction of this old law system. Everything about it was abolished by God; the law, the prophets, the kings, their sabbaths and everything about it. Their daily sacrifices of killing animals was stopped, for God had always hated these things. Now that Jesus has paid the price of deliverance from these abominations, God is finished with them.
That old way was the merchandizing city. They dealt in merchandise from the start to the finish. That tabernacle they built was the most lavish thing in existence. Then of course, Solomon built the most lavish temple. They dealt in MERCHANDISE. So, the merchants waxed rich through all of this. They weep and mourn when Jesus set up the NT Church, which does NOT DO MERCHANDISE.
His system is LOVE. Share with your needy neighbors that there be equality. His message is GIVE; not sell.
In the gospel account of the crucifixion, you will see that the people STOOD AFAR OFF for fear, watching as they killed Jesus. In the death of Jesus, was the death of mystery Babylon.
God never again picked back up old Jerusalem or Israel as a nation and He never will. He will never go back to that old system of priests, prophets, sabbaths, animal sacrifices, etc. It is finished and over. God hated it.
So those people weep and mourn when they see and understand that God is finished with them. Those old rulers of law, priests, and pharisees, were cast aside and they could do nothing about it.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
The ‘merchants’ of that city were the rulers who were paid to do the building of this great system. They sold and bought all the rich and lavish things that went into the tabernacle in the wilderness, and then the temple that Solomon built.
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
But after Jesus began his Church or kingdom, on the Day of Pentecost, those old Israelites saw that God would never deal with them again. They saw that the new testament Church did NOT DEAL in buying and selling, as they knew it is the sure mark of the beast.
She was made desolate in one hour. This is the hour they killed Jesus Christ. Jesus had said to them, in Mat 23, your house is left unto you DESOLATE. It is clearly identified in Scripture; no guess work is necessary.
20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
The heaven is the New Testament Holy Ghost filled saints of God. The apostles and prophets are the ministers of this new move of God. They can now rejoice because God has taken vengeance on that old law system which killed all of God’s prophets of old and his saints. God is never going to go back to them or deal with them again, so the light will never shine there. God put them into total darkness.
No prophet comes out now, for God put them into darkness. No merchants get into this new holy city, for God does not deal with merchandise. The sorceries of that old system had deceived the whole world.
In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all that were slain on earth. Jesus took it back to the murder of Abel. So that old Babylon city was the kingdom of ADAM, THE MAN THROUGH WHOM SIN ENTERED THIS WORLD. HE IS STILL DECEIVING ALL WHO DO NOT COME INTO THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST JESUS, VIA THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST.
