Who required OT sin offerings?
By: Jo Smith…. April 23, 2018
Psalm 40: 6
Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire;
mine ears hast thou opened:
burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
Heb 10: 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 in burnt offerings and sacrificesfor sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Isa 1: 11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord:
I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts;
and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12
When ye come to appear before me,
who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13
Bring no more vain oblations;
incense is an abomination unto me;
God asked them, WHO required this of you? Who told you this is the way to me? Who?
Micah 6: 6 Wherewith shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before the high God?
shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves of a year old?
7
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,
or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God?
Here the people ask God, how do I get to thee? How many sacrifices? Then God answered them, I showed you what is good….and what the Lord requires of you….and he gives the NT way of worship: do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God. No animal sacrifices. God never at any time required this or liked it.
Then who?
It could only be the lord of the world system,, the one to whom God gave this earth….Adam/serpent.
Here is all God required of anyone:
Deuteronomy 10:12
And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
There is much more could be said on this message, but I just wanted to show you that God did not require those animal sacrifices and never, at any time, was pleased with them. It is not God’s way.
