If I can't be.... let me be

If I can't be young again, let me be wise.
If I can't be strong again, let me arise
Let me go to heights unreached before
Knowing that my Jesus is the door.

If I can't be rich, let me show forth greater love
Let me show the world the Father above.
If I can't climb a mountains height
Let me love God with all my might.

If I can never embrace another newborn
let me show the world the great horn
the king Jesus is all they really need
but still let me show them where to feed.

If I can't give the world salvation
Let me save my own nation.
If I can't fly like a bird
let me show you the Word.

When the natural beauty has faded away
let me show you a better way.
What God has put into the heart
is the only place to start.

When we are old and grey
nothing can take God away
If we have hid the word into our mind
Jesus is the gift we will find.

If I can't reach the world with glory divine
Let me be content that Jesus is mine.
If I can't span the oceans blue
let me to God be true.

If I can't teach others today
Let me walk in the right way
Knowing that God has led me
and from evil I will flee.

If I can't live till Jesus returns from on high
let me ascend to him when I die.
If you see me when I go
Then you will know
My life has not been in-vain.
I am on the gospel train.
