Ever-changing me
I was hot and now I am cold
I was young and now I am old.
I wanted to ride the train
But I melted in the rain.
If you don’t think this is true
You surely need to learn a few
Of the silly rhymes
That make up my times.
It pops into my head
While I lay on my bed.
But when I get up to write
I always have a fight.
I can’t remember the lines
So I just have to refines
Oh, but it is such fun
To just lie and look at the sun.
Nursery rhymes need not make sense
They just need to be sitting on a fence.
Ever heard of the lady who lived in a shoe?
Well, that is just what I want to do.
Live in a shoe? No. Just make up a senseless
Poem, that is just a mess.
If you like it, please say so
How else will I know?
Making poems exercises my mind
And I am amazed at what I find.
I just give it a start
And the rest is a part
Of the ever-changing Jo
She is a big po..
Opps, meant poet
And don’t know it.
Even my mouth is not the same
As it was in the last game.
I had teeth before
Now I am an empty door.
Did you like that one?
As I said, this is just for fun.
I am back to being a baby
Instead of a refined lady.
I must eat without chewing
And for that I am spewing
Out hate for the teeth that are fake
I will go throw them in a lake.
I want to ride on a cloud
But then I would be too proud.
Now, that was a good one I think
If not, you write one that is pink.
Color this poem red or blue
And I will go see if I can chew
My baby food is really good
And I wear a green hood.
Take the fake teeth out and go play
I will wait and try them another day.
The ever-changing me
Is a sight to see.
So destroy all the mirrors in the house
And pretend to be a mouse.
I will close this one now
Who will read it anyhow?
