Someone to care for me

I found myself all alone in a big strange world.
It seemed I was being hurled
Into a massive cold den
And it was only then
That I knew I had to find someone to care for me.

I looked to my left and then to my right
All I saw was a confused fright.
I tried with all my might
To overcome this horrible plight.
I needed someone to care for me.

I am just a tiny ball of dust
Make of this what you must
I am trying to open my eyes
And become wise.
Please send someone to care for me.

I have been through many storms
They scare me and take on many forms.
I look up at the stars
And then I look at Mars
And I wonder, where do I belong? I need someone to care for me.

I am just a dust human being.
From all the fear I am fleeing.
I am just a little child
Trying to become undefiled.
Where oh where can I find help? I need someone to care for me.

As I struggle with all the wars and floods
And again see mingled souls defiled with drugs
I am puzzled as to what
Will finally become my lot.
Is there someone to care for me?

I hear babies crying
And I see the dying
And many others lying
And I am still trying
To find someone to care for me.

Finally I heard there is a great God
And I thought it was very odd
That it took so long for this revelation
To set me on a big elevation.
Perhaps, this is the someone who will care for me?

So I set out to learn how I could reach him.
The way seems dark and dim.
One day I looked up and saw a little light.
He said, reach up with all your might
And you will find someone to care for you.

He said, I am sending my son
And He is the one
Yes, he is the one that will care for you.
Seek him in all that you do
And Your soul shall find the rest that you need. He will care for you.

So now all the turmoil and strife
Has given way to new life.
My soul has found joy and peace
Since I met Jesus, who is my release
From all the fear and sadness. He now takes care of me.
