Real, or make-believe

I am floating around in the sky
And I really don’t even know why.
The earth has become such a horrid mess
That I came up here just to rest.
As I look back down
I wonder who invented that clown.
It is clearly turned inside out.
That is the reason to hastily take another route.
I hope I can hop onto a strong breeze
And ride out this dreaded freeze.
The earth has become overrun with fleas
And now I can’t do anything that I please.
I ran to the left and I ran to the right.
All it did was increase the horrible fright.
Now I will try with all my might
To rise to another world in my flight.
Very exciting to see that I just arrived here
On a large and glorious new hemisphere.
I will now make my home in this new universe.
Going back down ‘there’ would certainly be worse.
Now I got onto a large balloon
To take a short trip to the moon.
Oh, I might just make this my new home
And I will never want to again roam.
But then a large satellite
Came to me and told me it is night.
He said, I will take you over to a lovely star.
This will make you forget where you are.
Now we are riding on an asteroid.
Nothing up here is ever void.
Standing on top of Uranus I can see the whole world.
From this height I see that insane spikes have been on the earth hurled.
Oh, so that is what went wrong!
I now see why it became so accident prone.
I will no longer long
For that to be my home.
A little comet said to me,
Come and I will show to thee,
Worlds so beautiful and free
More lovely than any tree.
So once again I am traveling through space.
This is such joy that nothing can erase.
On the next day we arrive at the Milky Way.
At the sight of this beauty I am speechless, nothing to say.
Next, we travel over to a supernova.
It is covered with a beautiful clover.
He said, this is where children run and play
Who were driven away.
They are now free from all fear.
Everything here is solid and clear.
I think I will stay here awhile.
I sat down with a big smile.
I see that if you really try
You can learn how to fly.
You can now escape to a glorious mountain
That is covered with a golden fountain.
From this fountain, you will find eternal life.
You will then be free from all trouble and strife.
I will stop here a while and rest from my long trip
On that powerful spaceship.
There is so much to see and explore.
I could never ask for anything more.
Then I heard thousands of happy voices singing.
Their joy is all over the world, ringing.
They said, We have escaped with you.
Now enjoying life is all that we do.
Our joy will never end.
On the glory here you can always depend.
