The tall wall
There stands a wall, very big and tall.
If you don’t know it is there, you will fall.
It has been a prison for one and all.
This tall wall was at one time,
A horrible enemy of mine.
Countless people have worked for many years
Through much toil, slavery, pain and tears
To help build this web of lies
That has torn down many family, friend and lover’s ties.
This monstrosity of a prison wall has been daubed with untempered mortar.
Through thousands of years it was built and yet God said it is shorter
Than that a man can cover himself with.
Every line of this web of lies is pure myth.
A stormy wind, the whirlwind of the Lord, came at Pentecost.
It blasted down this wall of lies and without this you will be lost.
I say, not lost in the woods, but the loss of your soul.
From this blindness of heart you can never be made whole.
Many cling to this web of lies not knowing that on the other side
Of this blinding wall is a land of such beauty and the perfect guide.
The glory of the word of truth is beyond the imagination of man.
And yet through their pride they refuse to turn and find this glorious land.
This wall of lies has blinded almost everyone’s eyes.
But if they will just open the Holy Book and read they will find a great surprise.
They will find their way out of this wild jungle of made up stuff.
And then they will see that the glory of God is more than enough.
There was a great man called Paul.
He tore down this destroying wall.
He set the record straight
And said, enter in at the right gate.
Jesus taught Paul and Paul then taught us all.
If you do not listen to them, you will have a hard fall.
You will miss seeing the great beautiful city of Gold.
Eternal joy will not be yours to hold.
Why oh why will you die?
Would you not rather repent and cry?
Let God heal your hard heart
And never from Him depart.
